Robin Brammar provides the clinical fitting and laboratory fabrication of artificial eyes, cosmetic shells (designed to be worn over a blind or disfigured eye) and facial and body prostheses.
Each of the artificial eyes are hand painted in the presence of the patient to produce an accurate colour match.
Robin Brammar is an ocularist and qualified maxillofacial technologist, lectures internationally in ocular prosthetics, is a member of the American Society of Ocularists, The Guild of Master Craftsmen and the Institute of Maxillofacial Prosthetists and Technologists.
Robin Brammar established his private practice in Manchester in 1982 when as Principal Ocularist at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital he also set up the Department of Ocular Prosthetics. The Dublin practice was opened in 1996.
Robin provides a specialist service for those patients having orbital implants, those requiring osseointergated implant retained facial prostheses and custom designed body prostheses.
